One hundred and thirty years of tradition
The story linking the Jannamico family to the liquor business began in 1888 when Cav. Francesco Jannamico, importing rum and sugar from the Antilles and herbs and spices from all over the world, started producing the first Abruzzese Punch.
In his travels throughout Europe, he collects awards and recognition, earning, among others, the grand honorable mention at the historic Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1900.
His spirit and knowledge, passed down from generation to generation, have contributed to creating the fame of Punch, which still remains one of the symbols of the national liquor tradition.
Family tradition
At the end of the Second World War, Cav. Michele Iannamico, son of Francesco, continued the family business by moving to Lanciano, a town rich in charm and history, nestled in the gentle hills of Abruzzo.
His sons Francesco, Benedetto, and Carlo succeeded him, advancing and enriching the family business by expanding its range of high-quality products. They, in turn, passed it on to their children Michele, Michelino, Giovanni, and Filomena, who in 2010 inaugurated the new modern facility in Villa Martelli, where they continue the family tradition with the support of the new generation.
As a testament to its long history of success, the company has been registered in the registry of historical brands of national interest at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Today, as in the past, Michele Jannamico's products are the result of a balance between respect for tradition and attention to new technologies. Herbs, roots, and fruits are carefully selected and processed using techniques perfected over time to ensure superior quality products.
